PARENT’S GUIDE

As you are here, it is likely that you and/or someone you know, is playing one of our games, thank you. So you may have questions, regarding keeping you and/or your children safe while playing our games through your computer/mobile device. Things such as in-app purchases, age limits, and privacy policies are all very important, so we want to make sure that you feel safe, confident and get the support you need while playing our games.

GoodMood PBC has established numerous policies in order to assure that you will be able to enjoy GoodMood PBC’s games in a secure and controlled environment, and in furtherance of that we created clear sets of rules and principles that have served all of our gamers and GoodMood PBC well, as follows:

 

GoodMood PBC appreciates its gamers, and so we strive to make our games as fun as possible, and so we will never compromise the quality of our games for any other consideration.

 

GoodMood PBC wants you to be in control of your experience whenever playing any of the GoodMood PBC games. That means that prior to you or your child downloading any of our games, you will be given advanced information about the game and its contents.

 

Also, if you or your child encounters any problems with any of our games, then you and/or your child should be able to lookup how to resolve the problem. Which means assisting you in contacting the right company for whatever issues you are encountering, such as payments (which will most likely be thru Google and/or Apple, which normally process all of our purchases and refunds), or a problem with the game (which will most likely be resolved by us).

 

Below we have included some of the issues that you could most likely encounter and/or questions that you most likely have. In your communication, please be sure to include any and all relevant facts as they will be useful, for example: what happened and when, transaction ID/receipts, and any other information you deem relevant, etc…

 

Additionally, you can also check our Support pages for questions regarding our games and your device(s), and our Forums which contain plenty of information, as provided by our player community. Also, there is additional help inside our games, which can be accessed by going to Settings > Help. There you will find things like - FAQs, forums, and/or report a problem.

WHAT ARE THE LIMITS AND GENERAL POLICIES PERTAINING TO “AGE,” AS IT RELATES TO GOODMOOD PBC’S GAMES?

Our games are for, and offered to gamers that are at least 13 years old. More information regarding this matter is available on our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy pages.

FYI: You can find published age recommendations on both Google Play and Apple’s App Store. Please bear in mind that the age classifications refer only to the content in our games.

HOW CAN I CONTROL AND/OR TURN OFF THE IN-APP PURCHASE OPTIONS?

All of our games can be downloaded for free. But, our games do offer entirely optional “in-app purchases”. These optional purchases are not required in order to be able to play the game, but if purchased will enhance some elements of the game. The in-app purchases can vary from $0.99 to $99.99 (plus tax).

Additional Information -The in-app purchases must be made with real money, and they are clearly labeled. They are only accessible from within the “game”.

Notice : You can control the ability to make in-app purchases and/or disable it entirely, and even change the password protection settings, via your mobile device’s general settings. The required procedure will depend on which device you are using, such as either an iOS or an Android device.

MY CHILD ACCIDENTALLY PROCESSED AN IN-GAME PURCHASE. HOW CAN I OBTAIN A REFUND?

As is the case with most downloadable software products, products purchased via our games (in-app purchases) are normally non-refundable. Under certain circumstances there can be exceptions to this general rule. Nevertheless, the transactions are processed by Apple and/or Google, depending on your device, and both companies provide support teams who can answer your questions and handle requests for refunds.

For all Apple (iOS system) devices : Visit Apple support, select the "Contact iTunes store support" link, then select the "Purchases, billing and redemption", and then choose the option that best describes your issue.

For Google (Android system) devices : Visit Google support and use the ‘Contact us’ button on the page, in order to reach a Google customer support representative by email and/or by phone.

WHO PROCESSES ALL OF THE IN-GAME PURCHASES?

GoodMood PBC does not process any payments made via the in-app purchases, nor do we have access to any of your credit card information. That’s because the payments themselves are made and processed through the Apple’s App Store or Google Play (depending on which device you utilize) via the email address associated with your account. Receipts for those payments are emailed to you by Apple or Google upon completion of each purchase, as such be aware that all post-purchase processes are done by Apple or Google and are subject to change in their sole discretion.

I AM AWARE OF OTHER SITES THAT OFFER IN-GAME PRODUCTS FOR THE GOODMOOD PBC GAMES. CAN PURCHASE THOSE PRODUCTS FROM THEM?

Beware of third party sites that offer you enhancements for GoodMood PBC games. Those sites may possibly collect your personal information, money and/or both, and may never deliver the purchased in-game enhancement. If you wish to make in-app purchases, the safest way is most convenient way is to simply make the purchase via the game itself and from your mobile device. Please note that the act of selling, redeeming and/or trading your virtual in-game currency is not allowed by our Terms of Service.

CHATTING VIA THE GOODMOOD PBC GAMES?

Our players are able to interact with each other via group chats from within our games. No private chat facility and/or option exist in any of our games, and warnings are regularly displayed, regarding sharing personal information. We also created, and regularly update, a 'blacklist' of certain words and/or phrases that can and may be removed from all areas of our games.

Our games contain tools which allow players to report any insulting, offensive, and/or otherwise inappropriate behaviour to GoodMood PBC. We have also created a feature that allows our game users to mute the chat from any other player whose messages they do not want to see.

I RECEIVED A RECEIPT/BILL FOR A PURCHASE I DID NOT MAKE. WHAT SHOULD IF IT IS A FRAUDULENT CHARGE?

If you and/or your child have never played any of our games, but you suspect that there has been fraudulent charge on your account, you should then immediately contact Apple and/or Google, as applicable, which are the entities that control the transaction/purchase process.
